Halloween Bash: Wrap up

I thought it would be fun to share how I used the Halloween Bash items in my fall decorating. The banner looks so festive on my fireplace mantel.

I displayed a small pumpkin and crow to the top of my treat stand and it gives such height to the display.  And getting the reflection in the mirror is just a happy bonus!

I love fall decor!

Halloween: recycled pillows

This is part of our Halloween BASH.  See a listing of all projects so far at the end of the post.

*RECYCLED PILLOW TO THROW ON YOUR HAYRIDE

During our annual halloween bash, we always need "pillows" for the hayride. This year I decided not risk taking the ones off of my living room sofa because last year they were covered in caramel corn by the end of the ride.

Instead I made disposable pillows stuffed with newpaper. I liked the reverse side of my burlap after painting it - it looked spookier, so I used that instead.

You can learn to make twisted rosettes here.

Are you making Spooky or Pretty? Either would be great!

Halloween Bash: Large Banner

This is part of our Halloween BASH.  See a listing of all projects so far at the end of the post.

*SUPER COOL HUGE BANNER

- add lettering and embellish with flowers, leaves, buttons and more. I used recycled chipboard from packaging, 1/2 yard total of fabric and printed my own lettering at home. Embellishments were goodies left over from halloween cards i made last year.

Total - under $8.00

Let's get started:

I ripped a strip of muslin that was twice as long as the length of my word banner laid out. I spaced the letters out on the muslin strip the way I liked it then folded it over the top of each letter and stitched on machine.

Halloween: Spooky Books

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  I love to decorate for the fall season. I wanted to add something new to the decor this year so I...

gathered some leftover supplies from Halloween last year....

ran to Goodwill and picked up a few hardcover books (the cheapest because I didn't care about the condition of the cover) and...

gathered the following supplies from my stash.

Here's how I did it:

I added  twigs using this method of strenthening and embellishing them.

If you do crafts and do not have a silicone mat, grab a coupon and get one.  I use mine all the time. They can be found in the hot glue section of your craft store.  They are also available on Amazon.  You will wonder how you lived without it.

SUPER EASY...TWENTY MINUTES TOPS!

I LOVE to use what I have lying around the house....I LOVE feeling like I have purged bits of things that I couldn't part with. I have been on a mission lately to make this happen....little by little.

...so I had most of the supplies lying around..........grabbed a few paint chips from my local store, and a few basic tools and here is what happened.

...SUPER SWEET VINTAGE CARNIVAL HALLOWEEN TAG CARDS.

Gathering supplies:

Here's the how-to:

And you have it! Halloween Tag Cards to share.
