{dip dyed filter paper flowers}

I love filter paper. And I love to dye things. I saved my leftover Easter Egg dye this year, so I could dye some cool fabric, like this! I just funneled the extra dye into an old fashioned ice cube tray and popped it into the freezer!  Today I thawed it out and used it to dip dye these sweet flowers. I am working on a mini tutorial for you so check back soon!

{vintage baskets & feathered friends}

This year, when it was time to replace the front door wreathe I chose a vintage looking basket to fill with flowers instead. Once it was hung, it was beautiful, but I was startled to remember my feathered friend. I knew that every year, for years, a little bird has made her little nest in that wreathe. I was sad she wouldn't have a place to build her nest.

But as nature will, it made do with what was available. I have a pair of topiary trees flanking my front porch and my feathered friend chose one of these to build a snug shelter for her pretty little eggs. I am so happy she is still here, my little feathered friend.

This is a simple tutorial using one of my favorite recycled items. Dye Catcher Sheets. If you use these in your laundry, you know you love them. They really work! Once you have washed and dried your load, don't toss it. Reuse it!
